A quick fictional commentary on feminism. Cho Nam-joo shows the struggles women go through as she writes the life of Kim Jiyoung - from childhood to motherhood. Cho also adds footnotes for statistics as well which was something I've never seen before in fictional books.
While reading the book, I liked seeing the lifestyle of something in South Korea. I got a peak of gender roles and attitudes towards/against women. The end made me chuckle and I found that Cho gave a cheeky ending which unfortunately is the reality of feminism in the real world.
