Did not finish book. Stopped at 42%.
These days haven't been going well when it comes to reading. Maybe it's because I read two excellent books in a row so not many stand a chance. I keep not finishing books.
If I was bothered to finish this it would probably be an average 3 stars. The problem is that I am tired of wasting time on mediocre books when I could be reading one that would be my next favourite.
This book has some graphic scenes of bullying and yet I was bored the entire time and felt nothing about it. It was probably the style of the writing (the translation would be more accurate) that made these two kids not care that much about their situation, which I found odd. As someone that was bullied in high school for years, my reaction to what was happening in the story really surprised me. The events and reactions to them just didn't sound true enough and therefore I couldn't care less.
High school stories are also an hard sell for me these days, but the book didn't offend me or anything. It was just very meh and I don't wish to keep being bored and force myself to finish it so I give up.
