Dear Ally, How Do You Write a Book? by Ally Carter

3.0

While this is designed for teens, I think this could be useful to anyone interested in writing a book. Ally Carter doesn't try to say this is how you write a book, instead she gives ideas of what works for her as well as bringing in author friends to provide insight into their process. Most questions will be answered in "it depends" and for good reason many things depend on the type of book you are writing, your process, etc. However, she does go over things that there is not wiggle room on, traps to avoid, and the differences between self publishing and traditional publishing, how to find an agent, what an agent does, and so much more.
