Message Deleted starts with a fresh and intriguing premise that promises a gripping psychological thriller. Unfortunately, while the concept had real potential, the execution doesn’t quite deliver.

The story begins strong but quickly loses momentum. The plot feels bloated and overly drawn out, with repetitive scenes that drag rather than build suspense. What should have been a tense, fast-paced read becomes a slog, with the mystery slowly fizzling out instead of intensifying.

The police investigation is particularly frustrating. The handling of the case feels unrealistic and riddled with holes—law enforcement comes across as oddly incompetent and lacking in credibility. Even for fiction, the procedural elements feel underdeveloped and unconvincing.

I pushed through and finished the book hoping for a strong payoff, but the ending was both underwhelming and rushed. It lacked the punch or twist you’d expect after such a buildup, leaving the conclusion feeling flat and unsatisfying.

Overall, Message Deleted is an okay read, but it misses the mark in terms of tension and payoff. A promising idea that just doesn’t live up to its potential.
