How to Be Eaten was unique and well written, but it was just OK for me.  I loved the premise of each "fairytale" lady getting to tell her story and it being therapeutic.  I agree totally.  My favorite part of knowing each back story.  It was fun, but it wasn't what I expected and it didn't wow me.  And the ending was a shocker, but kinda fell flat for me.  Not to mention the author kept using big words like they were trying to wow us with their extensive vocabulary.  I don't like the pretentiousness. Overall, it had a good message and you get to revisit some fairytales.
