Darkhearts by James L. Sutter
3.0
giving a 3.5, i loved david and chance's chemistry and story. watching them figure out their sexualities together and how their past intertwined was captivating and made for a great plot.
no teenager - not a single one - talks like ridley lmao. i felt like they made ridley a bit cringe with a lot of her commentary, which is a shame bc i really, really wanted to like her. and making her entire plot revolve around being obsessed with chance made her seem shallow and did not give her the depth of character i know she deserved.
bonus points for being set in seattle (woo!)
