N.K. Jemisin can always be counted on to do interesting things with a narrative voice, and this is no exception.

I didn't quiiiite like the dialogue, it didn't quite feel natural, but it's a punchy concept. Feels especially relevant right now during the cost of living crisis in the UK, and the rank selfishness it has produced...
