Throwing Hearts
by N.R. Walker
I didn't like this one as much as i expected, but it still was perfect for a feel good easy and light read. If looking for a smile this book is lovely, however i must admit to enjoying the side characters and plots more then the mcs.
Merrick and Leo are adorable with obvious attraction from the start, i just never really connected with them or their romance at all. It was just kind of boring and typical. I did love that they did the 'Ghost' scene though, that was entertaining.
I wish had been more focus upon the ceramics side of things as i loved all of those scenes, the innuendo and the playfulness between the group was a lot of fun. Also Clyde is my favorite, i connected with him so much with his brutal honesty and snarky comments. He made me smile throughout, his just wonderful!
Must admit i kind of wish the story had been with Clyde and Donny leading as mcs, i just found their relationship development so great and all the little moments between them were lovely. They were a lot more interesting to me, so i feel i would have enjoyed it more if had followed them instead.
Still it was a really sweet read with a lot of important and serious topics, i loved the group and charity. Also explored different generations and their struggles, how it impacted them all in various ways.
Overall a fun read with amazing characters. The epilogue is beautiful! I always love a happy ending
