The Rules of Dating My Best Friend's Sister by Penelope Ward, Vi Keeland
medium-paced
3.0
I don't know. 3 stars might be generous. I started out enjoying this book a lot, but some of the stuff that went down wasn't what I like to read.
The good:
*I liked the forbidden relationship part of this book that included the dead brother's best friend thing and how all of their friends were warning Hudson off.
*I liked Hudson and Lala's history and their chemistry.
*I was left curious about the next book.
The bad:
*I wasn't prepared for the (mostly emotional) cheating that happened. Lala's engagement went on way too long for my tastes.
*This felt like two different books. The first half being the stuff with Lala being engaged, etc. The second being their relationship. It made this book feel really long. I never say I didn't need more time with a couple after they get together, but the second half really challenged that.
