Blindsighted by Karin Slaughter
3.0

Man, I really wish you could half-star on this app, because Blindsighted was a solid 3.5 that I don't feel like I can bump up to a 4 because I don't feel the protagonist really came into her own or developed as a character. The book is about a violent serial rapist and the small town coroner who has found herself in their path. As usual, Karin Slaughter goes almost unbelievably dark, to the point where I had to close the book and stare at the wall at one point. I also figured out whodunnit halfway through the book, which was a little whomp whomp. I will give the second book in the series a chance though, because Slaughter is pretty good even at her okayest.
