What can I say I love books with ties and allegories to mythology and old tales. AND SOO, OBVIOUSLY, I LOVED LOVED LOVED THE BIBLE ALLEGORIES/PARALLELS!!! To be completely honest, not that I think I'm better at making stories, but if this took place actually before our time (pre-mesopotamia), and author did a twist where this was where our mythologies came from, it would've been my absolute favorite book of all time, bar none. It would've been THE twist, THE sci-fi book. Sadly it's not and I respect that and I don't see it as a flaw but rather a what-could-have-been. (Though I guess you could say they did that too with a future civilization in the end.)
