Waiting for the Long Night Moon: Stories
by Amanda Peters
DID NOT FINISH: 19%
I had such high hopes for this collection but when the third story in a row was a disappointment, I gave up.
The indigenous characters of the first story were naive and stupid in a way that didn't feel believable, the medical science of the second story was ridiculous (if you get a compact fracture of the leg with your bone sticking out and then stay camping out in a field without antibiotics, it is not going to be able to be set and also you're absolutely getting a deadly bone infection, and you will not swinging around on crutches with only Motrin in your system the next day), and the third just felt flat.
