Solitaire by Alice Oseman
4.0
I absolutely loved this book. I finished it in about two sittings.
There were some things that bothered me, such as Tori being too "I'm not like other girls" for my liking, but that added to the fact that she was a complicated narrator who isn't supposed to be perfect, I feel like it also fit the story. It was awkward reading some of herjokes (if that's what I can call them) about hurting others or herself, because it didn't seem like she would make some of those jokes considering what Charlie has been through.
But otherwise, I loved it. I've read Heartstopper and decided to check out Alice Oseman's books, and I'm happy I did. I've gotten into the habit of only buying books if I trust the author or if I've gotten it from the library before and have loved it. I borrowed Solitaire from the library, and I would buy all three of her books easily, because I know that I'll like them.
