I'm afraid that this is like all the other Hiaasen books, except it now includes the Bahamas. He's got a good schtick going, and all his plots are basically the same, only the details about the characters and the odious bad guys ever change.
Hiaasen has a way with words, and makes these caricatures seem almost lifelike. His books are always fun to read, but you know you've already read them before. You're just waiting to see how the bad guys get their comeuppance this time.
