As a long-time Cormac McCarthy fan, I can now see why critics and reviewers have made the connection to his works and Faulkner’s.
Devastating to the point of absurdity (hilarity?), gruesome, confusing, poignant, and profound.
I think there is quite a bit more in these pages that will require more thorough re-reads on my part someday.
