Hear me out. The last two chapters devastated me (in a good way, finally what I needed from
The book) and I’m not okay. I am glad I stuck it out because it dragged for the first half while I was trying ti out the puzzle pieces together.
First off: WHY DID WE NOT USE THE MALE VOICE of the narrator, Jason Clarke THE ENTIRE AUDIBLE? The last chapter? REALLY?? I took half a star away for the misuse of the male narrator. I would like to add that I cannot wait to listen to the next book of this series if he reads all the . Honestly, I can’t believe this whole book I thought the voice was the narrator and almost put it on a list of narrators I wasn’t a fan of.. holy air ball Mr. Clarke!
Our MFC Odessa is a bit annoying but strong. Resilient. Overcast by her sister and her family. Des began to have wonderful character development once more of the relationships started coming to life.
The Guardian! Our MMC, I have no words. I loved him from the second he was introduced and I knew he was.. The One. The enemy our girl would fall in love with. The feelings that are brewing with that introduction I did expect much more, sooner.
Evie is a shining star. I think she will have so much more to give this story at women’s point.. how many books will this have? Will it be like the Folk of Air and have a spin off with a princess?
I was surprised but the random smut section! This would have been in my top 3 YA book’s this year but it’s definitely an Adult book after reading that section (which wasn’t until 85% through) this book.
