That Kind of Guy by Stephanie Archer

funny lighthearted medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Loveable characters? Yes
  • Diverse cast of characters? No
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

3.5

This was a fun book to read but probably not one to rave about. The characters were engaging, although I don’t think that Emmett was developed properly. He started with a massive ego and lowkey it just disappeared? His change of character didn’t feel super earned to me. The ending also felt quite rushed. A third-act-conflict was introduced, but then it was solved within a few pages, and everything just wrapped up super quick. But!! I enjoyed the banter between the main characters and I always love a fake dating situation. Had fun with it so if it sounds up your alley I think it makes a good palette cleanser read :))
