I kept reading this book solely to know what Brooklyn's past was and how the story was going to come together after some major events.
While I liked the way our MCs relationship ended up, I was not a fan of Drew's intention and constant pushing of Brook beyond her comfort levels - it really gave gaslighting and red flags due to her lack of inexperience and her repeatedly telling him no.
The story was choppy at times and the writing style/dialogue was awkward at times. I think if this would have been shorter and focused more on the storyline coming together in the end the way it did while removing a lot of unnecessary (IMO) drama it would have rated higher for me.
