Fabulous read! A book of 2 villains who don't think they're villains out to kill each other. Victor is more of a morally ambiguous guy than Eli is in my opinion, but they are both ambitious and arrogant to a fault.
Schwab really knows how to write a story where you can quickly fall in love with the characters while bouncing around in time chapter-by-chapter. The time flips and location changes can get a little disorienting if you don't pay attention, but the characters have enough of a personality shift that you can tell between the 10 year differences.
