I didn't know much going into this, and was quickly grabbed by the main conceit - the main character gets access to the emails of everyone in the office - but then I was kept in by a good use of the slow unraveling of the back stories of the characters and, as a result, the building of many side characters into more sympathetic entities. It was a quick page-turning read - sometimes a tough one, but well done throughout.
