Wires and Nerve, Volume 1 by Marissa Meyer
4.0

If I could I’d give it 3.5 stars, but it deserves a rounding up.

In middle school I became obsessed with the Lunar Chronicles. It helped me find good friends, and Winter was the first book I pulled an all nighter to read. I happened to find Wires and Nerves on clearance, and since I was never able to pick up a copy before, I felt nostalgia calling me to buy it.

The story is as intriguing as I remember, and though the art is a bit bland, I enjoy the monochromatic style. My only gripe is I wish this was another book, instead of a graphic novel. It’s probably just personal preference, but Meyer’s writing is phenomenal, and there’s enough plot going on that could have added ‘Iko’ to the series.
