I really, really enjoyed Wildwood.
It's an amazing children's adventure, but I really think any adult can get a lot from it even if you're not a huge fan of middle-grade. I loved all the characters, there was an incredibly diverse cast all with distinct personalities and the main characters go through a lot of growth.
A lot happens in this book, which is quite big for a middle grade, but it all ties back in together nicely in the end.
The only thing that knocked one star of for me was that some of the dialogue was quite long and slow, especially towards the end where the situation called for quick decision making the characters seemed happy to discuss un-important subjects for a while.This frustrated me quite a bit.
I am excited to pick up the next book in this series!
