This was just so much fun! I’ve been in a cowboy romance phase for a while but The Brave and the Reckless had so many new elements that made it a unique experience.
I loved the theme park setting! I loved that they were both character actors and it made for a lot of fun scenes while they were in character. Seeing Esra and Noah get together despite their “hatred” of each other was honestly pretty fun and for some great spicy scenes. But I enjoyed them realizing their feelings for each other just as much.
I really enjoyed the representation included in this book, it’s definitely something I haven’t seen enough of in cowboy romances. Esra has hEDS and I loved how it was included as an important part of her character. Esra shows a lot of growth throughout the book. While I admit I had a tough time connecting with her character at first, I loved seeing her grow and could relate a lot to her dreams and goals changing.
The romance was definitely a fast burn. The characters had good chemistry and I was definitely on board by the time real feelings were in play. The speed of the relationship just made it difficult to connect with to me. I am a slow burn girlie at heart.
This one had a lot of funny moments mixed into the romantic one and I loved the cast of side characters too! I definitely saw the potential for another book set in Bravetown and I’ll be excited to read it.
