The Woods Are Always Watching by Stephanie Perkins
2.0
A very short read that I finished in a few hours. The idea was intriguing but I could never latch onto the concept completely. Nothing actually happened until well over the halfway mark but then when the action hits, it hits. Up until that point I enjoyed the nature descriptions, but I wasn't fond of Josie or Neena. They claimed to be best friends but their thought process and attitudes said otherwise. They were very ill-prepared for hiking and camping and that on top of their bickering was frustrating to read through. I definitely enjoyed the final 50% instead of the first portion. Thank you Edelweiss for an ARC.
