‘I promise I'll still like you, even if I ever have a problem you can't fix.’
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this charming, fun, and surprisingly thoughtful romance. As a geek myself I’m a sucker for geeky romances.
The setting of the high school robotics competition serves as the perfect backdrop for the plot, providing both tension and excitement.
You get to see the characters working through technical challenges, learning about engineering and teamwork, and also dealing with their own emotional and interpersonal issues.
As a side note I also really enjoyed the representation of women in stem.
A major strength to this book was its exploration of identity. Bel’s journey isn’t just about falling in love; it’s about learning to embrace her passions and the way they shape her self-worth. The narrative does an excellent job of conveying the importance of pursuing what you love, whether that’s robotics or anything else.
