The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

2.0

The scene-setting in this book is gorgeous, and the writing style as a whole is beautifully imaginative and satisfying. However, this can’t carry all 500 pages of this book. I never felt emotionally invested in the characters and their story. I only felt indifference towards the characters, and as such I couldn’t really care about what happens to them. For me, this made the storyline boring and a bit of a chore to get through.
