There is some groundwork laid here for the next book, but otherwise a bit unnecessary. The style of writing is the same from Feyre's perspective and Rhys' perspective so there was no distinguishing between their voices and characters really. "Mate" was overused unfortunately, making some sentences sound clumsy. The sense of wonder with each other is romantic but overdone at this point since we've heard it in the last two books. Overall, I didn't really enjoy this - perhaps the author wrote this more for herself, not ready to say goodbye to Rhys and Feyre just yet, which I respect: story writing is personal and can't always cater to all. I personally don't think it added anything significant, but perhaps that was the point. I'm still looking forward to the next book!
