I mean this book is just WEIRD, it's obviously a very well written text with great insight into the human condition and other fancy stuff but it also took me a year and a half to get through because Proust just cannot make a point easily, every little flower in all it's shades and shapes seems to him to deserve as much attention as the most complex human emotions, both are lavished with equal attention by the writer.
