This was well written and I did enjoy it for the most part, but it was sometimes slow and boring.
If I was rating this as a first book in a SERIES, I would have said it was a good first book for the world building and character development etc... But...
Its been sold as a stand along fantasy book... which made it underwhelming for me.
With that ending I can tell that theres probably going to be another book come out of this.
