This novel was quite enjoyable, with it's post-apocalyptic magic. I didn't enjoy how fast the novel went, and even then it didn't blow me away. I enjoyed the world a ton, but I could not connect to any of the characters. The main character, while kinda cool, feels distant. Also, I cannot imagine ANOTHER novel in this series, let alone two! What is this over-arching plot that wasn't in the novel? Everything was resolved, and stuff so how is there more? I'm debating even reading it! All in all, three stars because it didn't blow me away, but I didn't hate it.
