Love Is for Losers by Wibke Brueggemann

5.0

I was looking for something quick and light to read on a gloomy afternoon, and this was the perfect book. It was written very well for young adults, and though I am (slightly) above that age bracket, I still found myself moved by the story.

I saw a lot of myself in the main character (who works in a charity shop in London, spends a lot of time in chain cafes and is trying to figure herself out). The character development was good, the author has created relatable and mostly likeable characters.

For a YA book, I found that it dealt with fairly complex themes rather than being pure romance, and I found myself shedding a few tears throughout.

Positives

- cats
- charity shops
- cute romance
- real friendships

Overall a great read!
