The Late Mrs. Willoughby by Claudia Gray
3.0

I didn't love the mystery elements of this book - it completely made me cringe, for instance, when characters just went to the constables and asked them if they could borrow evidence, for instance. Or put forth new theories on who the murderer was, which then got passed along to a constable's wife and turned into the town gossip du jour. Probably just my modern sensibilities.

The narration was great, and the style was very close to Jane Austen. It was fun meeting relatives and old friends from her original books. I think I would read The Murder of Mr. Wickham! And it seems like there will be more books in this series - I believe there is a romance brewing between the two main characters.
