The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion

emotional informative reflective tense medium-paced
“A single person is missing for you, and the whole world is empty,”

This book is the record of the writer, how she deals with the death of loved ones and how she copes with the grief. The fact that the writer loves reading, there are a lot of resources from books being brought into this book, so it felt very dense and detailed especially when it’s talked about the treatment that the characters had.

I love the writing style, it kind of reminiscing on memories the writer has with her loved ones, and the sentences are written precisely on the important things.

Such an emotionally fulfilling reading experience.
