Personally, I can’t get over the strangely drawn faces in some of the frames. The story isn’t terrible, but it isn’t amazing. I’ve watched the Amazon Prime adaptation of the comic and love it!

In the comic, the members of The Boys don’t have the same dynamic as the show. This was a tad disappointing for me. In the show, MM’s was hesitant to immediately rejoin the group and Frenchie was tied up in gang stuff. I liked those additional complications and it added humor to their relationship.

Butcher introduces compound V to Hughie on their first “mission” the team uses it to beat super hero’s us. This quick reveal and use of compound V decreases suspense for me. I prefer the slightly slower build up in the Amazon Prime adaptation.

The amount of sex Butcher has is unnecessary. The panels are very graphic and It does not add anything to his character development or reveal anything new for the plot.

The comic has a different tone too. Less funny and more like someone trying too hard to be edgy.
