I. Finally. Read. Cinder.
And I’m livid it took me this long because I absolutely loved it. I have had this book on my TBR since 2013, and I know I missed the glory days when this was The Series. But I’m just so glad I picked it up now.
I’m in love. The characters, the relationships, the legit tear-jerker moments…I’m floored that it took me so long. I didn’t honestly expect such a great retelling that still feels familiar without making me feel like I’m being spoon-fed an old favorite. It feels fresh and authentically new, dealing with topics like ableism in a way that is pertinent and timely.
This is an astounding book and I cannot wait to get into the rest of the series.
