Liar by Lia Fairchild

5.0

Lia Fairchild has done it again: writing this masterpiece, part 2 of the Duet Series "Liar".

Continuing Daniel and Gray's storyline, it shows their individual growth while apart and how they came back to each other as better versions of themselves (or so they thought). Lia's ability to continue with this complex storyline and the many facets of the characters is insanely good. We see Daniel fighting between being her boyfriend and being "Dr. Dan" throughout the story. We also see how Gray continues to not deal with her past well, resorting to making ridiculously stupid decisions (Gray REALLY aggravated me through this one, but luckily she figured things out) and overall trying to move on when things really hit the fan.

A LOT of unanswered questions from Compulsive were answered in this book as well as new revelations/breakthroughs. I didn't see the twist coming at all. Gray and Daniel both have been through so much, I never related to characters so deeply and realistically before. Very few books moved me as Lia has with her beautiful storytelling and display of emotions. I will be forever reading the rest of her novels and can't wait to see what she writes next!
