I can understand the importance of the book being one of the first published sapphic novels while still critiquing the many poor takes and prejudices it enforces. Yay for queer stories being told, but it also left a bad taste (so much Butch hate from the mc?? Blatant racism?? The belief the mc is better than every woman bc she’s “smart and driven” and “no other woman is like that! All they want is a man to support them. Look at how ugly they look with makeup on” yada yada). basically she’s a lesbian who hates women bc she is better than all of them
