**I read and listened to this book so my review is based on both versions**
Love the storyline and character development! This book definitely keeps you engaged the whole time! It has suspense, revenge, love, and a whole lotta spice! Definitely a good read for a (mild) dark romance lover.
I was not a fan of some parts in the audiobook because some of the accents were so bad they became distracting. The male voice wasn’t terrible, but the female voice… idk what’s going on with that Boston accent! It was pretty awful! Luckily, the main characters didn’t have Boston accents so it was bearable.
Overall, the plot and characters were engaging and kept my interest the whole time. The underlying storyline in this book was a little nostalgic, too. As a Disney kid, this book was like the adult version of the childhood characters I grew up with. Which made the book feel as though I was following the characters into adulthood. So, I guess everyone does have to grow up sometime.
