Bonds of Brass by Emily Skrutskie

I can't read anymore. I literally know what's going to happen by the end of this book. I know the big "reveal" that supposed to come as a "huge surprise" to the reader about Ettian. But I literally called it on page 30. I just don't care to read on in this series. I felt totally disconnected from Ettian, how he was feeling & the justifications of his decisions. And don't even get me started on the fact that we're following a black man help a white man be put on the throne of the empire that essentially annihilated his country/planet just because "he's gonna try to be better than his murderous parents/empire" yeah... NO THANKS.

I would recommend this if you cannon Fin and Poe from Star Wars. This literally feels like a au for them.
