This month of LGBTQ+ pride, the book club decided to read this little beauty.

"She Gets the Girl" is a sweet book about Molly going to college. Molly has had a tough time in high school with anxiety and being super shy. When she finds out her crush Cora is going to the same college as her, she decides she wants to try speaking to her. At her first party, Molly meets Alex. Alex is a freshman like Molly, cocky and has great confidence. Alex comes from a home with a drunken mother, an absent father and a girlfriend she is trying to convince that she can be left alone without flirting with everyone. When Alex finds out that Molly has a crush on Cora, she tells her she will help her get her dream girl and therefore be able to show her girlfriend she has compassion.
But like most of these "I'll help you get the girl" stories goes. They end up falling for each other without even knowing it. They end up being an arm's length away from their dreams when they both realise they love one another!🥺
I would have loved some extra content about Alex and her mom, about what happens in the future. Does the mom stay in rehab? Does she get the help she should and end up having her life back? Does Alex switch to an English major?
