Curious Minds by Janet Evanovich

2.0

My mom loves Janet Evanovich and recommended this book. As my first foray into Evanovich's writing, I was underwhelmed. The characters were bland archetypes: wealthy autism-spectrum eccentric partners with Harvard-educated (this was repeated with fervor to compensate for the character's unremarkable contributions to the story) Texas girl. They uncovered a plot of corruption, previously unobserved, that ascended to the highest levels of government. Suuurrreee. As much as I enjoy the easy escapism of cozy mysteries, I merely found this to be an adequate representation of the genre.
