I understand that no character is perfect but Declan had so many flaws that made it so hard for me to like him and Sydney's behaviour was just pathetic. I thought, after hearing his thoughts about babies and marriage, she would stop begging him but no, she disappointed me. The only reason I am giving this book three stars is because of the angst and the side characters. The little scenes of Hadley with Declan & Sydney were very adorable! The whole book was honestly a mess. It took a huge situation for Declan to finally get his head out of his ass. His reasoning felt like a whole load of bullshit and honestly, the reason all the brothers left town was so stupid. Still the books in the series are enjoyable and can be read in a day.
