honestly it's hard for me to rate memoirs because they're so personal to the author but i really appreciated reading this. another reminder of how harmful internalized stereotypes can be, and how important it is to have books where folks of all kinds of backgrounds are represented. while this was an "easier," read (YA novel), the content was definitely not necessarily easy to read. thank you shaun for sharing your story!
