A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf
5.0
"Women have served all these centuries as looking-glassss possessing the magic and delicious power of reflecting the figure of man at twice its natural size"
A room of one's own is one of the greatest feminist books of all time. In this collection of essays Woolf writes about how a woman fiction writer must have financial independence and a room of her own where she can think and write without any interruptions.
Virginia Woolf encourages all women to write, because by doing so you are giving Shakespeare's imaginary sister Judith, power and a life she never had.
This was my first time reading Virginia Woolf and I cannot wait to read more of her works. An easy 5-star read.
