Tin Man by Sarah Winman

4.0

“There's something about first love...it's untouchable to those who played no part in it. But it's the measure of all that follows.”

Tragically beautiful. Filled with real complex relationships, and surprising character growth, in such a short book. Sarah Winman has a beautiful voice and is able to make her characters shine even as they fell dull and lightless. I'm a sucker for tragedy. So maybe I would have loved it either way. Though, Winman's storytelling has definitely left me wanting to read more of her work. I was so easily sucked in by this one.
