Reasons this book wasn’t for me:
-Characters lacked depth and chemistry
-Constantly used miscommunication as a plot device
-How, after a year, has she not mentioned her grandma died?
-Grossly inaccurate depiction of Banff (this actually annoyed me The most - you’re Canadian authors and couldn’t be bothered to research the location you’re using? Then make up a town.) it is not in northern Alberta, it is not an isolated wilderness town, there are no hills only mountains, there are more than a 100 restaurants in Banff, it is an INTERNATIONAL tourist destination, fireball is considered a freaking liquor in the hospitality industry and you’re making it sound like a 100 proof whiskey, they wouldn’t be canucks supporters since they’re in Banff, AB and not anywhere in BC?!?!? They’d be watching a Calgary Flames game.
I wouldn’t be so annoyed if the book description doesn’t mention their trip to Banff and have my expectations set on the real Banff that has approx 4 million tourists visit a year.
