I loved the show I watched in the '90's and am so glad I finally found these books!
The story gets better as the books continue. I loved this one!
Mildred is such a likeable character and makes these stories that much more fun to listen to (I'm listening to the books on Audible).
I won't go into the storyline because I don't wanna give anything away but this book, and this series, is worth reading. I recommend this to children as well as adults. If you watched and loved the show when it was on TV (original or other versions), you should really read or listen to these books.
