The Perfect Series Ending!
I've read the entire Cloverleigh Series by this author and this book was a great conclusion!
This was a super sweet Second Chance romance that was a beautiful story of first love, loss, healing, secrets, letting go of shame, and finding closure and personal happiness along the way.
I always love a romance that includes a main character seeing a therapist. So often, the romance genre portrays LOVE as the answer to everything, but so often healing (or at least working towards healing) must come FIRST in order to be ready for love. The therapy in this book felt truthful.
I also appreciated that the relationships in this book (not just the romantic relationship) were complex, sometimes messy, and not easily "fixed". This book was a deep dive into all kinds of relationships without feeling like a heavy or overly complex reading experience. That balance takes a gifted author.
This book had a wonderfully happy ending that was both satisfying, swoon-inducing, and fitting. And make sure to get the bonus epilogue offered at the end of the book in exchange for signing up for the author's newsletter....totally worth it.
