A cute follow up to The Bookwanders I thought this one was much more intriguing from the story perspective though (and please take this with a glacier of salt) I got really annoyed by some of the choices Tilly made in this book. I got annoyed because they were childish decisions however considering Tilly is a child and this is a book written for middle grade aged persons I cannot really fault it for that. I do also have to give kudos to the fact that I’m invested enough in these characters to have actually gotten annoyed about it in the first place. The maybe only drawback is that if you haven’t read the first in the series I don’t think this one will make much sense. There is a tacit understanding that you’ve read and remember most of the first book which I think is why the intrigue is better there not much exposition to get the uninitiated up to speed. On one hand I completely appreciate that from a narrative standpoint and on the other it means if I were to have picked this up first I wouldn’t have enjoyed it nearly as much. That being said I’m still looking forward to the next installment of Tilly and Oskar’s adventures.

The narrator for the audiobook is delightful and just as last time really gave a bit of extra flare to an already wonderful story. I would highly recommend the audiobook.
