I don't usually leave reviews but I had to leave one for this book. I am a little over halfway through this audiobook and have no idea what it's about.
It started off pretty good with a storyline. But because LKH goes so off topic, I feel like the amount of story I've actually gotten out of the first 1/2, seems more like only about a 1/8. For example... in the second half she's about to leave and Cynric wants to talk. Somehow she goes from him wanting to talk to something about how everyone works out and for what reason. Then on to Cynric playing sports and Nathaniel liking to go to the games. After a while I forgot was supposed to be happening.
There are lots of times this goes on in the book. I've listend to the entire series (read Narcissus in Chains) and usually can't stop listening, because the story is pretty good. But this one is boring and I find myself daydreaming about other things while listening. It's usually when the blathering about off-topic things is going on. I hope the next book is better.
